SCHOOL POLICY CATALOG
General Policies

All Students must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.

A certificate of completion shall be presented to students upon completion of course.

ARE mentioned in the catalog shall be the same as Academy Real Estate School

No pre-requisites are required to take the Pre-License course.

No credit is given for previous education, training or work experience.

IN-ROOM CLASS INFO
-
Each Course must have a minimum of 5 students enrolled in order for an in-room class to be held.
-
A certificate of completion shall be presented to students upon completion of course.

A registration fee of $100.00 shall be due upon enrollment with the balance due on or before the start of the first class. If student fails to begin class all tuition paid by the student shall be refunded less and except the registration fee the of one hundred dollars. After starting a class should a student fail to complete a course, student shall forfeit all of their enrollment money that they paid.

School Calendar and Holidays
Classes will not be held on the following holidays :
The week of Christmas and Thanksgiving,
Fourth of July,
Memorial Day,
Labor Day,
New Years Eve and New Years Day.

Leave of Absence
Any student who can not attend a class must inform school prior to class beginning. The school will work with student to try and make up the time missed within another scheduled class. All make-up work must be approved by the Instructor. There are no excused or non- excused absences, All students must complete the full required hours of each class that they enroll in. No certificate will be given until such time as a student has completed all the required hours.

Tardiness
Students should be prepared for class and arrive at least 5 minutes before each class begins. No student shall be admitted into the class room after 45 minutes of class has been given.

Termination of Enrollment
Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and if for any reason a student harasses, threatens, assaults, or harms any student or instructor, the student shall be required to leave immediately, they shall be turned into the Commission and their enrollment shall be terminated with no refund.

Grading System
Students who are enrolled in the Pre-License course will be given a final exam at the end of the course. Students must have a 70% passing score in order to get their certificate of completion.

General Information
Students should bring to class a note pad, pencil and calculator. All cell phones are to be turned off prior to entering the class room and remain off until such time as class is over. Each in-room course that is taken will be actual class room hours as prescribed by the Missouri and the Arkansas Real Estate Commission

Rules of Student Conduct and Conditions for Probation or Dismissal - Students are expected to complete all of their course work. Instances of cheating or fraud will result in a student forfeiting his/her course and may be reported to the Real Estate Commission. Profane language is not allowed in the emails or phone calls to instructor or other students. Repeated offenses are grounds for dismissal without a refund.
****NO BEEPERS, PHONES, OUTSIDE READING MATERIALS, OR ANYTHING OTHER THAN COURSE MATERIALS WILL BE ALLOWED IN ANY REAL ESTATE CLASS. CERTIFICATES SHALL NOT BE AWARDED TO ANY ATTENDEE WHO DOES NOT COMPLY WITH COMMISSION REGULATIONS REQUIRING ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION.

Instructor/Broker

There are no special computer knowledge or program training necessary. In fact, if you can move a mouse, point and click, and type a few words on your keyboard, you will be able to take the online courses with ease.

Admission and Refunds:
-
Students will enroll through the automated computer program in accordance with directions included online. There are no special requirements for eligibility to enroll in any online course. The online courses are a self study mastery-based internet course; no classroom attendance is required however, student may attend class room course when they are being held without any additional charge. Attendance is monitored online. Students have 6 months from the date of registration, to complete any online course. After the student enters the online course of the first lesson, no refund will be given to student.

Grading System - Students must meet course criteria minimum requirements. Each course of study is divided into sections. At the end of each section the student will be given a quiz. A minimum acceptable grade on each quiz is 70% or as shown on the online course. Students are unable to proceed to the next section until the minimum grade is obtained. This is to make sure you understand what you have just read. The online course is programmed to record all activity. Students must, without exception, complete all requirements of the course work and the school must receive that information.

Interaction - You will not be left alone, after you have started your online course send me an email and in subject line type "Need Welcome Letter" and I will email you a personal Welcome letter that will help you in seeing what order you need to do things and how to get a handbook for setting for you exam. Emails and phone calls will be answered by the next business day. The instructor will interact with you to help with all of your learning experience.

Tech support is on the first page of your course and they can help you 7 days a week if you have a problem with your course.

Requirements for Distance Learning Courses:

Online courses can run on either Windows-based PCs or Macintosh OS computers. Online courses require an Internet connection and the supported browser is Microsoft Internet Explorer, 5.5 or greater. Online courses require an Internet connection, 56K modem or greater, 800 x 600 screen resolution, sufficient memory to run system software and browser, Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.5 or greater, with Java and Cookies to be enabled.
